The Pulmonary visit....

We met with the pediatric Pulmonologist today. His bedside manner was good. But he is a Dr. and when a Dr. with his expertice tells you that he's never seen a tumor like this then you realize all over again what a terrible diagnosis this really is. I'm tired and at a loss for words right now. They will have a meeting to discuss Sydney's case in the coming weeks but it is in his opinion that surgery to repair her chest would be too risky for her and could potentially cause more harm than good. So really nothing has changed, just the wording and bedside manner. Sydney continues to do well. I just can't help but to feel sorry for all of us right now. I know that I shouldn't do that - so please keep praying for all of us.....

Blessings,
Sandy

We will definitely keep all of you guys in our prayers!

At the end of the day, it's not worse. I know that is little to no comfort.....but at least she is still "Sydney"!

God has and will continue to watch over her!

Hi Sandy, I am finally trying to visit some of my new blog friends. Susannah is sleeping! PTL! Listen, I am so sorry you are going through this right now. I don't have any fancy words or a pep talk (I so get tired of those sometimes ;), but I just want you to know that one thing I have learned over the last few months is that it really helps to share with God EVERYTHING. I mean, if it means being really angry and telling Him how angry you are, then it is like medicine to the soul. At least for me it has been and He knows anyway. There have been MANY times on this journey that I have aksed Him WHY, WHY, WHY and I have even told Him "what I thought" which usually wasn't very nice. But after I release all of that anger and frustration, my soul was always stronger. I think as we pour it out, He fills us back up. Listen, I looked back over your blog, but I don't know alot of details about your Sydney's condition and how you all got to where you are, but if you ever want to talk privately, please don't hesitate to send me an email through my blog. I will be glad to listen and cry out with you! Praying for you and your beautiful Syndey.

I JUST opened a card from a friend and thought I needed to share this verse from the card:

He is Lord over every situation in our lives, No matter what issue, trial, or problem we may face, HE IS THE ANSWER. There is nothing new under the sun; He's seen it all. He knows how to lead us through life's complexity. HE IS THE ANSWER. He loves us intimately, cares for us deeply, and always has our best interests in mind. HE IS THE ANSWER.

My prayers are with you and your family. As hard as it is, it is in God's hands, they are only given to us for safe keeping. He knows we will love them every day of our lives and beyond - mom to another beautiful dd.
